Despite slightly fewer visitors and competitors this time than during last May's competition, both organizers from Asarum's MS and drivers were pleased with today's race on the Hokabanan. The competitors came from all corners of southern Sweden, such as Kristianstad, Karlskrona and Vimmerby.

Will represent Sweden

Two years ago, Moltas Olofsson from Asarum started driving. He competes with his red Volvo 240 and during Sunday's race he had the ride with him.

- I've taken the starts and stayed away from everyone else. So I have run my own race today and got rid of everything from the others, he says.

After today's folk race on the Hokabanan, Moltas Olofsson looks ahead to the international match in Denmark where he will be allowed to represent Sweden.

- There, there are very good drivers. It is difficult to say how it will go, it will be tough, says Moltas Olofsson.

No pallet space

After Sunday's race, Christoffer Gudmundson from Kristianstad FRC finished as master of the men's class. In the women's class it was home win with Karoline Verner on the podium.

Unfortunately there was no pallet for Moltas Olofsson in the junior class. After winning all four qualifiers, he was black-flagged during the finals due to a so-called unscathed incident during a bypass.

- He's obviously disappointed. But we can look forward to a home win anyway, and we are happy to have let go of the rain, says Fredrik Lager, communicator at Asarum's MS.
