When the train from Malmö rolled into Skövde station at 10.38 am, everyone got off. Except for a man. The train crew who noticed the man in his 80s do not know where he came from and when he stepped aboard.

- The man has a very special appearance where half the jaw is missing. Whether that is due to this or anything else I do not know, but he can not communicate and understand himself, says Stefan Gustafsson.

Looks like he was hospitalized

The man is wearing clothes that appear to belong to a hospital and have operating injuries, but no person has been reported missing which is similar to the man and the police contact with several hospitals during the morning has not yielded any results. Therefore, one now appeals for public help.

- We need to know who he is and where he belongs. He does not have any credentials that allow us to identify him, says Stefan Gustafsson.

Passed many stations

The train on which the man was riding has passed Malmö, Lund, Helsingborg, Halmstad and Gothenburg. Right now he is at the police station in Skövde.

The man has a short and slim physique.

- We don't know where he got on. The first time the man was noticed was at the ticket control after Gothenburg, but he may have stepped on earlier, says Dan Olofsson at SJ's press release.
