The exercises involved the large anti-submarine ships Vice Admiral Kulakov, Kondopoga and Alexander Otrakovsky, as well as helicopters, high-speed landing boats, as well as armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and floating snow and swamp vehicles.
Infantrymen, paratroopers and military personnel of motorized rifle units worked out tactics of naval battle, as well as the capture and retention of the coastal bridgehead.
Earlier, Northern Fleet sailors conducted exercises to detect and destroy conditional enemy submarines on the border of the Barents and Norwegian seas.
