The senator recalled that in Soviet times, people who did not take sick leaves, did not smoke, maintained their health, and also regularly engaged in physical education were encouraged by additional days to leave.

“So here any forms are good, which could allow people to get rid of bad habits,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Health proposed ways to combat smoking at work.

The department also suggested placing plates of apples in common areas and equipping exercise zones. The authors of the program believe that these measures can replace smoke breaks, and also contribute to discharge during operation.
