Now it is the premiere of Uhack - one of the few LAN events in Umeå in recent years. At first, the event was planned in the Dragon School's dining room, but organizer David Sagemo says that problems with firewalls and the municipality's network meant that they had to move.

Instead, the event takes place at the Citizens' School premises at the Bridge Park.

- I think it will be really nice. And I think those who are there will have a good experience, says David Sagemo.

Investors pulled out

The last-minute move led to an investor withdrawing. The prize pool at the event's Counter Strike tournament was then lowered by a third - from SEK 15,000 to 5000.

- It's not funny. We have contacted those who have been notified and reduced ticket costs proportionally, ”says David Sagemo.

Is it not your responsibility to check that the venue fits the event?

- We have a responsibility, but it is a non-profit association and a waste of time. You learn all the time.

How have the reactions been to the local change?

- There have been quite positive reactions, except for a team from Luleå who jumped off. Which I understand, the price does not cover travel costs.

David also believes the premises will give a good LAN feel.

- The law gets its own rooms and there is a larger open space for everyone. Some thought it just got better like this.
