The sculptor and the singer maintain a dispute currently pending resolution by the Courts for the custody of their children. Palau, through his lawyer José Gabriel Ortolá, specializing in family law, filed a lawsuit against Miguel Bosé in a court in Pozuelo de Madrid and requested to continue sharing the education and care of the couple's children. Bosé knew the statement of his ex-partner's lawyer when he was already living in Mexico. Neither the singer nor his family have made statements since the separation. The artist's visit to Spain suggests that there has been an approach between Bosé and Palau although, according to recent statements by the sculptor himself, the situation in the Courts is still ongoing. The Valencian seeks recognition of double parentage for children with whom the four would become legal brothers and has stated that, so far, there is no alimony.
The interest aroused by the trial is not only because Bosé is one of the parties involved. There is no judicial record because of the peculiar family situation of the parties. In 2011 Miguel Bosé announced that he was going to be the father of two children, later revealed that he also raised the other two children as his children. During all these years Palau has remained in the shade. After the breakup of the couple, the children, who have grown up as brothers, live in different countries which complicates, even more, that they can be seen frequently.
