Six days after the death of DJ Arafat in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the funeral of the artist is not planned before the end of August. In the country, the emotion is still alive. His fans, called "The Chinese", but also many Ivorians do not recover from the death of the singer.

All concerts and sporting events are canceled in August as a sign of mourning in Côte d'Ivoire. Tributes are being prepared all over the country.

The Ivorian government is far from insensitive to this disappearance. On social media, Defense Minister Hamed Bakayoko or even President Alassane Ouattara paid tribute to Arafat.
