The Guinean Football Federation Ethics Commission has imposed heavy sanctions on former coach Paul Put and first vice president of Feguifoot Amadou Diaby, who are guilty of corruption. The first is banned for life, the second scoop of seven years of suspension (five of which closes). Penalties with fines.

Mamadou Antonio Souaré, the president of the Guinean Football Federation (Feguifoot), said that Paul Put had committed racketeering against his players, which the technician strongly denied.

Already convicted in Belgium, Paul Put is expensive in Guinea this time

The Feguifoot, it does not deviate. And it hit the nail on Friday, August 16 by pronouncing a radiation for life of Paul Put, who can no longer work in football in Guinea. Declared " guilty of corruption ", the former coach of The Gambia, Burkina Faso and Kenya " violated Article 21 " of the code of ethics of the Feguifoot, ensures the latter, without specifying the facts in question.

In addition to this radiation for life, Paul Put, 63, will also have to pay a fine of 100,000 euros. In October 2008, the coach had already been targeted by an investigation by the Belgian Football Federation. It concerned the "Zheyun Yé case", a huge scandal of match-fixing in Belgian football between 2004 and 2006, at a time when Put was co-coaching Lierse.

First written off for life in Belgium, Paul Put saw his sentence reduced to a three-year suspension of any football-related activity in his country. He then began coaching on the African continent and the Middle East (Jordan coach between 2015 and 2016).

Amadou Diaby punished for collecting commission on Paul Put's salary

Amadou Diaby does not come out unscathed either in the case judged by the ethics commission of the Feguifoot. The first vice-president of the Federation, already suspended, was in the sights. In its statement, the Feguifoot indicates that it has examined a " system of corruption put in place during the period March 2018-June 2019, and in particular its role in the perception of a commission of 10% " of the Paul Put's salary.

Verdict: Amadou Diaby has been convicted of active and passive bribery, resulting in a seven-year ban (including five shut down) of any football-related activity. The leader is also fined 25,000 euros.
