Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu toured the streets of Khartoum during which he exchanged conversations with a group of citizens, offering tea vendors gifts of water containers, Turkish tea and coffee. The women thanked the Minister and Turkey.

Earlier on Friday, Gavishoglu arrived in Khartoum to attend the final signing of the "Constitutional Declaration Document" between the junta and the forces of freedom and change on Saturday.

On August 4, the junta and the forces of change initialed the "Constitutional Declaration" document, agreed by the African Union, establishing a 39-month transition during which the two sides share power and end with elections.

Sudan has been in turmoil since the army leadership ousted Omar al-Bashir from the presidency on April 11, 1989, under the weight of popular protests condemning the deteriorating economic situation.
