The State Department commented on the tax policy of Ukraine

The US State Department issued a report saying that Ukraine’s tax policy does not meet transparency requirements.

Ukraine is still on the list of countries whose tax policy does not meet transparency requirements, despite improvements in budget policy, follows from a report by the U.S. Department of State on analyzing tax transparency for 2018.

“Not all allocations to state-owned enterprises and revenues were reflected in publicly available documents, although the audit of large state-owned enterprises has improved,” the US agency quoted RIA Novosti as saying.

It is also noted that the State Department has claims to the process of issuing licenses and contracts for the extraction of natural resources.

On May 25, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that the Prosecutor General’s Office delivered 2876 sentences to corrupt officials within three years, returning UAH 125 billion to the state budget.
