For European stock markets today a day of rebound after the thud of the last two sessions. Milan, closed yesterday for Ferragosto, with + 0.96% exceeds the other squares of the old continent: + 0.70% Frankfurt, + 0.53% Paris, + 0.37% London. Positive data on the economy were not changed by the stock exchanges, but the words of Olli Rehn, a Finnish member of the ECB. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, Rehn announced expansive moves, such as a rate cut and a stock purchase plan, for September of the 12th. Among the effects, the euro fell against the dollar. Now a euro is worth 1.1071 dollars, -0.30% compared to yesterday. Even Wall Street has opened in positive territory. The Dow Jones is up 0.70%, the Nasdaq is 1.06%, while the S&P 500 is up 0.80%. The spread remains low, yesterday down to 205 basis points, today to 208, far from 240 points last Friday. Among the individual titles, Mediaset stands out, + 9.90%. According to analysts, the purchases are to be related to the assemblies of September 4 for the reorganization of the group. In the Ftse Mib, the best Enel securities, + 3.80% and Snam, + 2.75%. The utilities index is up 3%. Instead, the winds of crisis suffer from other industrial titles. The Pirelli Ftse Mib ranks close, -2.15%, and Fca yields almost 3%.
