The low-cost subsidiary of the Air-France-KLM group announced that 95% of flights had been maintained despite the strike movement initiated by the CGT.

The strike movement of the hostesses and stewards of Transavia France at the call of the CGT this Friday has a limited impact on traffic, AFP learned from the company. "It is in line with expectations, with 95% of flights maintained," said AFP a spokesman for the low cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM group.

Six canceled flights

Of the 66 flights scheduled for the day from Paris-Orly, only two were canceled, one to Marrakech, the other to Lisbon, according to the website of the group ADP. On the other French bases of the company, the fourteen flights departing from Nantes were programmed, while four of the nine flights departing from Lyon-Saint-Exupéry were canceled, according to the sites of the airports.

For the day of Saturday, the management "plans to ensure 97% of its flight program", but "last minute disturbances are nevertheless not excluded".

"Catastrophic human and material management", according to the CGT

The hostesses and stewards are called to strike from Friday to Sunday evening, the CGT, the first union at Transavia France, denouncing "catastrophic human and material management" in the company. Among its demands, the union denounces an excessive use of charter aircraft, source of increased costs and which is due in his view "incompetence" of management.

The company should soon be able to develop further in France after a referendum in the SNPL, the first pilots' union within Air France, which has declared itself in favor of questioning the capping of the fleet of Transavia France to 40. aircraft.

Currently operating 38 Boeing 737s, Transavia France carried 811,000 passengers in July, an increase of 11% over July 2018.
