The authorities in Sudan have taken strong security measures to receive participants in the signing ceremony of the Constitutional Declaration, which is scheduled today, which will be attended by a number of heads of state, representatives of international organizations, heads of parties and leaders of civil society.

The Sudanese News Agency (SUNA) confirmed the completion of preparations in the hall «Friendship» in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, which is scheduled to host the signing ceremony of the constitutional declaration, and the signing ceremony will be called the «joy of Sudan».

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abe Ahmed will travel today to the Sudanese capital to participate in the signing ceremony.

Abe Ahmed is leading a high-level delegation, including Defense Minister Lama Majrasa, Minister of Peace Mofarat Kamel, and Foreign Minister Gedo Andrajachao, to attend the final signing of the Constitutional and Political Declaration Document, which paves the way for the announcement of the formation of the government and the beginning of the transition period.

The final signing ceremony - along with the Ethiopian prime minister - is expected to be attended by several heads of state, including Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Chadian President Idriss Deby, and AU Commission Chairman Moussa Faki.

With the formal signing of the agreement, Sudan will immediately launch a process that includes important first steps to launch civil rule in the country. The next day will announce the members of the ruling sovereign council, and then appoint Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk, nominated by the Forces for Freedom and Change on Tuesday, to announce his formation Government after eight days.

The formation of the government will be announced on August 28, and the appointed ministers will meet with the Sovereign Council in early September for the first time, and general elections will be held after the transition period of 39 months.

The military council in Sudan, the forces of freedom and change, reached in early August an agreement initialed, on the constitutional declaration, which will determine the mechanisms of government in the transition.

The signing culminates today eight months of popular movement against the regime of ousted President Omar al-Bashir, and means the entry into force of the agreement between the military council and the forces of freedom and change.

The government in Sudan during the transitional period has major tasks, most notably working to end the war and achieve peace within six months, in addition to addressing the economic crisis, which caused hundreds of thousands to take to the streets, demanding change Bashir.

The 39-month transition will see the dismantling of the former regime's structure and accountability for the crimes committed in 30 years.

It was expected - according to sources - that the head of the Transitional Military Council, Abdul-Fattah al-Burhan, officially, yesterday, the head of the judiciary, to take the members of the Council of Sovereignty expected to take oath before him on Sunday.

The source refused to disclose the reasons for the Council's disapproval of the opposition candidate, pointing out that the Council informed the forces of freedom and change of the decision, and that he is awaiting the nomination of a new candidate, to assume the post of Chief Justice.

The sources said that the forces of freedom and change nominated Mohammed al-Hafiz Mahmoud for the post of Attorney General, and Abdul Qadir Mohammed Ahmed for the post of Chief Justice, Siham Osman Ahmed, Tariq Yousef Dafallah, and Musab Omar Abdullah for the position of Assistant Attorney General.
