The night's car fire occurred at 04 am in the morning at a parking lot on Manillavägen in Kalmar, right next to the Bragebron railway bridge.
According to the rescue service, the car was overturned and was in an open flame when they arrived at the scene.
Another car, which was parked next door, was also injured in the fire. The police suspect that the fire was caused and classified the incident as an injury.
On the night of Thursday, another suspected car fire occurred - on the other side of the bridge bracket, a few hundred meters from the night's fire.
- It is close. We must look at that during the day if we can see some connections, says Eva Jirhall, internal commander of the police in Kalmar.
No person should have been injured in any of the car fires.
