At least five police officers were shot and wounded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, while a suspect was still not neutralized in the late afternoon. The shooting took place in the north of the city Wednesday afternoon, near the campus of Temple University.

"Several policemen have been wounded, five policemen have been shot and transported to nearby hospitals, their lives are not in danger, the shooting is still ongoing," a police spokesman said. Philadelphia, specifying that the suspect was still firing around 18 hours local (00 GMT).
