At noon on Thursday, the Prosecutor's Office provided new information. The arrested man is suspected of preparing for murder as well as stamping out terrorist crimes.

Stamping means, for example, that someone in consultation with another person decides to commit a crime, or tries to persuade another to commit a crime.

Moved to national unit for security purposes

The case was transferred on Thursday morning from the local prosecutor's office to the National Security Unit, and re-classified to apply for stamping to terrorist crimes. Previous headings only included preparation for murder.

The prosecutor will, during the day or at least tomorrow, decide whether the man should be arrested. Before the detention hearing, the prosecutor will not provide more information.

- Right now we can't give any further details about what the case is about, says Helena Ekstrand at the Prosecutor's Office's press service in Stockholm to SVT before lunchtime.

The house search and interrogation

The suspected man has been arrested and is in the police detention rooms at Trygghetens hus in Östersund.

"The house search has been carried out and several interrogations have also been held," said Mikael Gruvelgård at the Jämtland police this morning.

The man was arrested yesterday morning in central Östersund. The police had received tips on a motorist who was driving a bit strange in the city center.

Bargains in car

On Samuel Perman's street below Stortorget he drove into a plantation and there he could also be arrested by the police.

In the car, police found something that later arrested the man suspected of preparing for murder.
