“Today, Korean-Russian relations, based on joint consensus and agreements reached last April during our first meeting in Vladivostok, go well according to the aspirations and desires of the peoples of the two countries,” the DPRK leader’s telegram says.

Kim Jong-un called the relations of the countries friendly, and also expressed confidence in expanding cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and culture.

In turn, the President of Russia noted that the implementation of the Russian-Korean agreements will help strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as ensure stability and security on the Korean peninsula.

“Relations between Russia and the DPRK are friendly, constructive - this is fully confirmed by our talks in Vladivostok on April 25,” Putin’s congratulatory telegram says.

Earlier in the DPRK issued stamps in honor of the meeting of Putin and Kim Jong-un in Vladivostok.
