Naftogaz intends to receive about $ 3 billion from the sale of Gazprom’s assets

Executive Director of Naftogaz, Yuri Vitrenko, said that the Ukrainian side plans to receive about $ 3 billion from the sale of assets of the Russian company Gazprom by the end of 2020 under a decision of the Stockholm court.

He said this in an interview with Economic Truth.

“My forecast is that by the end of 2020 we will collect the entire amount - about $ 3 billion. We will start in mid-2020 and complete the collection by the end of 2020,” he said.

Earlier it became known that hearings in Sweden on a transit dispute between Gazprom and Naftogaz are scheduled for September - October 2020.

Gazprom and Naftogaz disputes regarding gas supply and transit contracts were issued in December 2017 and February 2018.

The court collected $ 4.637 billion from Gazprom for Naftogaz’s compensation for the short supply of gas for transit through Ukraine, but taking into account Naftogaz’s obligations to resolve the dispute over gas supplies, the Russian company should pay less - $ 2.56 billion.
