The short truce of the feast of Eid al-Kebir is already far away. On the morning of Thursday, August 15, the Libyan army of Khalifa Haftar bombed for the first time since the beginning of the war the airport of Zaouia, 60 km from Tripoli. According to the ANL, Turkish drones were leaving the airport to hit its forces south of the capital. Turkey is heavily involved in the war that is taking place in Libya.

Turkey does not operate secretly in Libya. His President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly affirmed his support for Fayez el-Sarraj and political Islam in Tripoli. The Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Union is grateful to him. But Marshal Khalifa Haftar denounced this intervention , which led to a crisis between Ankara and Benghazi in early July.

Ankara not only sent dozens of armed vehicles, missiles and Bayraktar drones to Tripoli's militias. The Turkish government has also delivered sophisticated weapons, such as the laser-guided anti-drone defense system that destroyed an ANL Long Wing drone in early August. In addition, Ankara is accused of sending soldiers to Libya to train the militia to use weapons.

On Wednesday, August 14, the ANL spokesman said he destroyed a Turkish anti-aircraft defense system in Misrata. A few days earlier, it was a Ukrainian transport plane that had paid for this intervention. Linking Istanbul to Misrata with a large quantity of weapons on board, this Elyouchen 67 was destroyed as soon as it landed.

According to the Flight Radar website , a 737 Peace Eagle Turkish Boeing systematically flies over the Libyan coast. His radar can collect information on a field of 850 km.
