Eva Bartlett said that she read the news of Western and Russian media about the detentions during uncoordinated rallies in Moscow and wanted to understand how justified the actions of the police are.

“I was curious to find out how everything will be on Saturday ... I wanted to make sure how justified the police were ... why people would be detained, how this would happen,” she explained.

According to her, there were quite a lot of people at the rally, while protesters sometimes behaved quite actively, and then fell silent for a long time.

“The people I saw at the rally were quite young, and I was surprised that they were so interested in this issue (admission of independent candidates to the Moscow City Duma. - RT ) ... Sometimes it seemed to me that they don’t understand what to do and why are they here ... I even got the idea that maybe they didn’t come for protests, but for the music part that was presented at the rally, ”Barlett said.

Earlier, Barlett said that she had never seen "so indifferent protesters", which participated in the rally on Sakharov Avenue on August 10.
