A German national, arrested a week ago in the Côte d'Or, was deported to Germany and banned from living in France before the holding of the G7 summit in Biarritz, according to sources from concordant sources, confirming information from France Info.
The Interior Ministry has confirmed to AFP the expulsion of this European national, targeted since July 18 by an order prohibiting administrative territory. The ministry did not specify the reasons for this order.
Interviewed by the Radio Dreyeckland radio station in Alsace, for which he was to go to Biarritz as a reporter, he accused the Interior Ministry of having wanted to remove the "disturbers" upstream of the G7, which is held from August 24 to 26.
On August 8, "after a roadside check, I was arrested and spent nearly 24 hours in an eviction cell because I was designated as a leftist activist, although at first I was not I did not say the reason for my arrest but just said that it concerned something about the right of residence, "he told Radio Dreyeckland.
"They (the French police, Editor's note) told me that I had been checked a year and a half ago in Bure near the nuclear waste landfill site where for the first time the police had taken my identity but they also said that I was suspected of committing crimes at the Hamburg G20 (in the summer of 2017), but without any conviction: investigations are still ongoing ", he continued.
The day after his arrest, the German national was "embarked on Kehl", a German town on the other side of the Rhine. He said he took a lawyer to challenge his ban on residence, while he has a contract of employment in France.
The authorities have taken drastic security measures for the holding of the G7, which they feel has several threats, including "violent groups".
