“Over the past day on August 15, 2019, 49 forest fires on an area of 21,934 ha were eliminated in Russia,” the Federal Aviation Protection Agency quotes TASS.
To extinguish fires, 2,790 people, 245 pieces of equipment and 56 aircraft were involved. Another 33 aircraft were monitoring the situation.
It is also noted that the emergency mode operates in the Irkutsk region, Yakutia, Krasnoyarsk Territory and three districts of Buryatia.
Earlier it was reported that 46 forest fires on an area of 10.5 thousand ha were eliminated in Russia.
