“On Wednesday afternoon, local time, an ash discharge occurred on the Karymsky volcano. Its height was up to 4.5 thousand meters above sea level, ”RIA Novosti reports a message from the KVERT volcanic activity monitoring group of the Institute of Seismology and Volcanology, Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
It is noted that the ash plume spread 5 kilometers east of the volcano.
According to the Ministry of Emergencies, ashfalls in settlements are not registered.
In July, an eruption of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano began in Kamchatka.
