According to the publication, relevant recommendations were sent to the Ministry of Transport of Russia and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The press service of the Ministry of Transport confirmed that the proposals from the committee were received and are being worked out.
“The withdrawal of old equipment from circulation should be carried out through the application of measures of economic, technical and organizational regulation, as well as encouraging car owners to purchase new, environmentally friendly rolling stock,” the department said.
Earlier, the State Duma proposed free car seats for needy families. This initiative was addressed to the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev by State Duma deputy Olga Alimova.
