Moscow authorities proposed the organizers of the rally on August 25 to hold a rally on Akademik Sakharov Avenue without marching along the boulevards of the capital. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the first deputy head of the regional security department of Moscow Vasily Oleinik.
It is indicated that the Moscow government received a notice on August 25 to hold a public procession from Pushkinskaya Square along a number of Moscow boulevards, as well as a rally on Academician Sakharov Avenue with a stage and the number of participants to 100 thousand people.
“In accordance with the requirements of Article 12 of the Federal Law“ On meetings of rallies, demonstrations, marches, pickets, ”the organizers have been informed of justified proposals to hold only a rally (without a protest) on the outside of Academician Sakharov Avenue,” said Oleinik.
On August 10, an agreed rally was held on Academician Sakharov Avenue in Moscow for the admission of independent candidates to the Moscow City Duma elections.
