Iran today revealed a positive development related to negotiations with the Europeans and reiterated its rejection of Israel's participation in the mission that the United States is pushing with British support and reservation from many Western countries.

According to the Iranian president's office, negotiations with Europe have become serious, but he did not elaborate on the progress of the negotiations.

Remarks by President Rouhani's office seemed optimistic about the future and outcome of these negotiations, which have been stalled over the past period. "We can reach understandings on the nuclear deal," the presidential office statement said.

He added that Tehran "will undoubtedly reduce our commitments in the nuclear deal if it does not reach an agreement with Europe."

Gulf Water Security
Meanwhile, Iranian state television quoted President Hassan Rouhani as saying on Wednesday that Iran and other Gulf states could protect the security of the region without foreign troops, reiterating the rejection of a US naval security mission in the region.

Rouhani said Israel was the main cause of insecurity and the outbreak of war in the region, and that its willingness to participate in ensuring the security of Gulf waters was "absurd."

He stressed that Israel is unable to ensure the security of the Gulf waters, even if it can to ensure it for itself in the place where it is located, and pointed out that America's goal of increasing its military presence in the region is to create division and loot the wealth of its countries.

On the relationship with the Gulf states, Rouhani said that Iran is always ready to strengthen relations with its friends, especially neighboring countries, and that the riparian countries in the Gulf can maintain security and stability through dialogue and harmony.
