Two men have joined the list of violent incidents that Barcelona accumulates this summer last morning. The two have received stab wounds in what, pending the outcome of the investigations, police sources link with two fights.
The first victim received a stab in the chest in the Pou de la Figuera , in the La Ribera neighborhood. According to police sources, it would be a 19-year-old boy who was seriously admitted to the Hospital del Mar , although he is not feared for his life. The person responsible has not yet been arrested.
The second stabbing occurred hours later, when at about 5.30 in the morning the Mossos were alerted to a fight in the Barceloneta neighborhood. On this occasion, the perpetrator was arrested and the victim is not in danger.
Barcelona is experiencing a rebound in violent crimes during this summer and has accumulated seven fatalities since the beginning of July , the last two between Saturday and Monday. A man died Sunday after receiving a stab in the Mina neighborhood and a woman was found dead Monday in the Zona Franca , half naked.
