The new opener of Racing 92 Francois Trinh-Duc, rookie flagship of the offseason, fractured his right forearm again Friday during the preparation match won 10-7 against Brive, announced Tuesday the club of Hauts-de-Seine.

The French international (32 years, 66 caps), which must be operated in the coming days and whose duration of unavailability is not yet known, had already suffered the same injury in November 2016, with the XV of France face in Samoa, while coach Guy Novès made his first choice at the opening.

Package for the tour of June 2018 in New Zealand after a new fracture in the same arm during the play-off lost by Toulon against Lyon, he has not managed to win at the Blues since.

This is yet another blow for the player, who left Toulon where he suffered competition from Anthony Belleau and Louis Carbonel to try one last adventure at Racing.

This is also very bad news for coach Laurent Travers, deprived of his N.1 and N.2 at the post, Scottish Finn Russell and Fijian Ben Volavola, until the end of the World Cup.

Travers was counting on Trinh-Duc during their three months of absence and to supervise the young Antoine Gibert (21 years), trained at the club and who has only 2 tenures to his credit.

Racing 92 starts the season of Top 14 on August 24 against Bayonne, at the Arena de La Defense.
