The woman is now in the hospital, beside her husband, sedated so as not to strain him and to relieve the pain caused by the bad wounds."He is in pain, he is out of danger but the situation is serious" said his wife to ANSA. This morning, when he woke up, he only asked "let me go home".
Pozzovivo was hit by a car while he was training on the road that leads to Laurignano, a hamlet of Dipignano, in the Cosentino area. The accident occurred near an intersection. The driver of the car, a Fiat Grande Punto, immediately requested the intervention of 118. The cyclist, who was sore on the ground without being able to move, was transferred to the hospital in Cosenza. He suffered fractures of his arm, leg and several ribs.
