A Fujairah misdemeanor court has tried the case of a man accused of smashing his wife's smartphone, causing her to no longer use it. The defendant confessed before the judiciary that he was at the moment of anger and smashed his wife's phone, following that he had invoices proving that he bought the phone for her on a special occasion, and that the phone belongs to him, and the victim has no right to bring a case against him.

The defendant presented papers proving that he bought the phone from one of the well-known telecommunications companies in the state on a premium basis, and that he still pays for it on a monthly basis, despite being smashed.
