Concerning to see what's happening in Hong Kong and the worrying pictures of clashes between police & protesters at the airport. As I said to Carrie Lam during my call last week, we condemn the violence & encourage constructive dialogue to find a peaceful way forward.

“As I said to Carrie Lam (head of Hong Kong administration. - RT ) during a conversation last week, we condemn the violence and call for a constructive dialogue to find a peaceful way to a settlement,” the report said.

According to the British Foreign Minister, the situation in Hong Kong is alarming. Photos of clashes between police and protesters cause concern for the politician.

In July, former British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt stated that Hong Kong residents are entitled to a peaceful protest under the law.

On August 13, all flights from the city were again canceled due to the seizure of the airport building by protesters.

The police reported that protesters began surrounding the police stations and attacking them, including damaging office premises.
