During a press conference after the mosque shooting in Norwegian Bärum, Erna Solberg should have said that there is much Swedish heard when neo-Nazis march on Norwegian streets, something that caused Anders Ygeman to react.

- I think it's a bit unfortunate because Norway has a lot to think about themselves. In the Norwegian government, we have government ministers who have proclaimed crusades against Islam, and who have warned against the Islamization of Norway, he says.

Is there nothing in what Erna Solberg says?

- It is obvious that we will fight Nazism in Sweden. We will fight Nazism in Norway, Denmark, Finland and wherever it appears. But unfortunately, there is a lot that Norway itself has to work on in how to respond to the rise of right-wing populism and racism.

"Low level of debate"

Anders Ygeman has faced some criticism for his comments on Erna Solberg's statement. Among other things, he has been accused by Norwegian politicians of keeping a low level of debate.

- You may have to take that when you start the discussion. I think it is reasonable to have the discussion about the statements made by representatives of the Norwegian government and I think it is a debate that can help bring back racism and xenophobia, he says.
