12 August 2019A woman was attacked in the street by a stranger this morning in Milan. At the moment it is not clear how the aggression arose, whether it occurred following a dispute or without any reason. The man, a foreigner, who would have wound the passerby with a broken bottle or with a sharp object, was arrested. The injured person, a 64 year old, was admitted in red code to the Niguarda hospital.

It was the citizens who were in the square, in Milan, that prevented man from escaping. Witnesses told the police who are investigating. The attack, in fact, took place under the astonished gaze of various people who, despite the August day, were passing through Largo la Foppa, a busy square not far from Brera and the Garibaldi area. Those present, after the gesture, called for help and withheld the attacker, preventing him from escaping, until a Volante arrived a few minutes later and blocked him.
