“The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Shakhovskaya, Moscow Region, has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Violation of the rules of the road and the operation of vehicles”), ”Volk said.
It is noted that, according to the department, a truck driver while driving towards Moscow made a collision with two cars. After that, one of the cars, driving into the oncoming lane, collided with a minibus and drove into a ditch with subsequent rollover.
“The truck driver was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Russia. The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing, ”the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
Earlier, as a result of the accident on the Riga highway in the Moscow region, five people were killed, including two children, and seven more were injured.
