“By the end of the year, I think there will be specific figures: but at least 70% of the tourist flow from Russia to Georgia has decreased,” he said.

According to him, “almost all” Russians who traveled there by plane stopped visiting Georgia. He recalled that Russia also does not sell package tours to Georgia.

Barzykin added that tourists who independently organized trips can get to Georgia by land transport or through third countries.

“But it’s much more complicated, more troublesome, not to mention the risks,” he said.
