This is stated in his statement on the website of the television company.

According to Halvashi, the Rustavi 2 television channel owes 70 million lari (about $ 24 million), of which 27 million lari (about $ 9 million) are indebted to the state.

He also added that the former general director of the television company, Nika Gvaramiya, began to bankrupt the television company immediately after Halvashi claimed his rights to it.

“Unfortunately, my financial capabilities are not enough to bring the television company out of the deep financial crisis. Therefore, I want to openly announce that I am ready to negotiate with any interested person who will buy Rustavi 2 ... The only one I do not plan to talk to is the former informal owner and manager of TV Mikhail Saakashvili. I decided to sell Rustavi 2 according to the rules of a transparent competition to the one who will pay the most, ”Halvashi said.

Gvamaria was previously dismissed from the post of general director of the Georgian TV channel Rustavi 2. This happened shortly after the television company became the property of Halvashi.

Later, the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia accused Gvaramia of intentionally causing financial damage to the television company. According to investigators, the amount of damage from his abuse as the head of the channel exceeds 6.7 million lari.
