There is a stop in train traffic which affects the trains between Stockholm and Uppsala, as well as the trains that go on to Sala and Gävle. The stop also affects the commuter trains on the route between Södertälje and Uppsala.

It is an electrical fault between Märsta, Arlanda and Knivsta.

- Repairmen are on their way there. No train stands without a platform so people can get off, says Katarina Wolffram, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.

According to information from the staff on one of the trains that are stationary in Knivsta, there must have been a lightning strike between Knivsta and Stockholm. This should have contributed to the Swedish Transport Administration not being able to see any trains on their screens.

There is no forecast for when the error has been fixed.
