US-Lebanese businessman George Nader has contributed $ 100,000 to former White House counsel Steve Bannon for his participation in a conference organized by the Hudson Institute against Qatar in 2017, the Daily Beast reported.

According to leaked letters, Nader, who is held in US prisons for possession of child sex tapes, and Elliot Broidy (a Republican fund-raiser close to Trump) arranged for the conference, and Nader told Broidy that Bannon is a former chancellor. US President Donald Trump is interested in participating.

A spokesman for Banon denied that Nader or Buraidi had influenced Banon's stance on Qatar.

Nader, an American businessman of Lebanese descent, whose name was recently associated with Abu Dhabi's crown prince Mohammed Zayed, was a key witness in Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in US elections in 2016 for President Donald Trump.

Nader was arrested in early June at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. He was subsequently brought before a state court before being transferred to a federal court in Virginia, where he was charged with sexual trafficking, child pornography, and indecent acts.
