Informed sources told Al Jazeera that the meetings of the Sudanese, which are taking place in Cairo between the forces of freedom and change and the Revolutionary Front, with Egyptian initiative and sponsorship, have reached a dead end.

The sources added that the failure of these meetings came after the delegation of the forces of change to include the document of peace and democratization constitutional document signed in Addis Ababa.

She stressed that the delegation of the forces of change informed the Egyptian government and the Revolutionary Front - which includes military movements and political forces - that he is not authorized to open the document, and that he came to Cairo to reassure the front that achieving peace is a priority for the next transitional government.

For its part, the Revolutionary Front threatened to rally its supporters to demand that peace be given the required attention and include the document of peace and democratic transformation in the constitutional document.

Representatives of the five main blocs participated in the Cairo talks on the forces of change, most notably Omar al-Dugair (Nidaa al-Sudan), Madani Abbas Madani (civil society), Babiker Faisal (the Unionist Union), Ahmed Rabie (the Professional Union) and Ali Sanhouri (the national consensus).

A delegation composed of the President of the Popular Movement Malek Aqar, the President of the Justice and Equality Movement, Jibril Ibrahim, the President of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Mina Minnawi, the Deputy Chairman of the Popular Movement, and the President of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Dr. Yasser Arman. The Revolutionary Front includes three movements that raise arms against the government: "Liberation of Sudan" led by Minnawi, which is fighting the government in the Darfur region (West), and "Popular Movement-North Sector" led by Malik Akar, which is fighting the government in the states of South Kordofan (South) and Blue Nile (South) ), "Justice and Equality" led by Jibril Ibrahim, fighting in the Darfur region (west).

It also includes political forces within entities formed during its battles with the former regime, most notably the "appeal of Sudan", which includes the Umma Party, the largest Sudanese party, the Congress Party.

Power transfer
On the other hand, the head of the Umma Party, Sadiq al-Mahdi, called for speedy elections in the country to allow the transfer of power to the people and complete the democratic transition, he said.

During the Eid al-Adha sermon, al-Mahdi called for the establishment of a commission to investigate all the events witnessed in the country since its independence, as well as to hold the symbols of the former regime accountable.
