- It must be clear that for those who come up with cheating, the consequences must be really harsh, says Matilda Ernkrans (S), Minister of Higher Education and Research, to TT.

An investigator is currently looking into how cheating on the college exam can be curbed. The background is the revelations of cheaters who have paid for good results in recent years and have thus come to desirable training courses such as doctors, lawyers or civil engineers - at the expense of other applicants.

Sentenced from Norrköping

The three main defendants - the 26 and 23-year-old brothers from Norrköping and the 21-year-old from Lund - were sentenced to prison by Norrköping district court for between 3.5 years and 6 years. The brothers' father is sentenced to 1.5 years in prison. The 23 cheaters are sentenced to conditional sentences and fines. The judges fell in January this year.
