Canadian police said Monday that the two fugitives wanted for the murder of three people had committed suicide by gun during their run.

The two Canadian fugitives, who escaped after killing three people in mid-July, committed suicide by firearm during their run. This is said Monday the police in the country after autopsies performed on their bodies.

On Wednesday, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced Wednesday that it had found two bodies, saying it was the remains of Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky, two teenagers who had been hounded for two weeks for triple murder.

3,000 km traveled

McLeod, 19, and his childhood friend Schmegelsky, who was 19 on Aug. 4, are accused of killing mid-July a 64-year-old botany professor, Leonard Dyck. They then stole his vehicle and traveled some 3,000 km before being spotted in northern Manitoba, where the research was concentrated.

The two teenagers were also suspected of murdering a young couple: Lucas Fowler, a 23-year-old Australian, and his American friend Chynna Deese, 24. Their bodies were found on July 15 in northern British Columbia, where the alleged killers originated.
