Al-Aqsa Mosque was quiet on Monday after violent clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces that allowed some 1800 settlers to storm the mosque, causing clashes in which dozens of wounded.

According to Al-Jazeera correspondent that the occupation forces, and based on the recommendations of the political level in Israel, decided to prevent the intrusions carried out by the settlers from today until Wednesday evening, the days that coincide with Eid al-Adha, and that the incursions will return in its normal daily frame next Thursday morning.

According to the Israeli press, 1,729 Jewish settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque three times yesterday, the first day of Eid al-Adha, under the protection of the occupation forces after noon prayers.Israeli police also suppressed worshipers inside the mosque after Eid prayers, resulting in dozens of injuries due to the use of tear gas and rubber bullets.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the number of settlers who stormed the mosque in the so-called anniversary of the destruction of the Temple increased by 17% compared to their number last year on the same occasion.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Beit Kahil in the occupied West Bank last night and laid out a detailed engineering design for the houses of the two Palestinian youths suspected of carrying out the killing of an Israeli soldier named Dvir Sorek a few days ago.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested after a two-day hunt both Naseer Asafra and Qasim Asafra on suspicion of carrying out the operation. Israeli military sources said the storming of their homes in preparation for their demolition came in light of what they described as progress in the investigation.
