August 10: Police receive an alarm about gunfire at the al-Noor Islamic Center mosque in Bærum, just west of Oslo. The alarm comes after 16:30 on Saturday and when the police are in place the suspected perpetrator has already been overpowered.

• The police later announce that they have arrested a young Norwegian citizen living in the immediate area. He is reportedly known by the police since before.

• During the evening, a response force and a bomb squad are alerted to an apartment in Bærum - where a woman is found dead.

The police link the death with the previous mosque attack, states the response manager Rune Hekkelstrand to the news agency NTB. According to police, the woman was a relative of the suspected man, and he is now suspected of murder.

• The night before Sunday, police say the arrested man will be questioned . After the attack, he is taken care of for injuries and later brought to the arrest.

• According to a director of the al-Noor Islamic Center, with the local newspaper Budstikka, one of the members of the mosque attack was injured .

Police say on Twitter that a person has suffered minor injuries , but there is no indication that more perpetrators have been involved in the attack. Several weapons were found inside the mosque , police say to Norwegian NRK.
