Paris SG coach Thomas Tuchel opted for Julian Draxler to replace Angel di Maria on Sunday against Nîmes (9 pm) in the opening of Ligue 1, where Neymar will not play.
The Argentine midfielder, scorer against Rennes at the Champions Trophy (2-1) last Saturday, had felt a pain in a thigh in China. His coach preferred to leave him on the bench against the Crocos, and start the German who has done all the summer preparation.
Silva, who joined the group late due to extended holidays following the Copa América, found his place in central hinge, alongside rookie Abdou Diallo. Thilo Kehrer, central in the absence of the Brazilian, is shifted to the left flank of the defense, to the detriment of Thomas Meunier, substitute.
Unsurprisingly, Kylian Mbappé and Edinson Cavani will lead the Parisian attack, amputated of its jewel Neymar, that the management has decided to spare for the meeting, in full negotiations on his departure.
