Kiev called powerless Kiev protest over Putin’s trip
The senator from the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov said that the protest of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry over the trip of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the peninsula testifies to the impotence of Kiev. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to him, such "banal" statements by the Kiev authorities "stamped" after a visit to Crimea by senior officials of Russia.
“Such formulations speak of their powerlessness and emphasize the insignificance of their own position. They actually laugh at themselves and cause laughter among other representatives of the international community, ”said Tsekov.
He added that the Ukrainian authorities need to stop speculating on the Russian status of the peninsula and take up the process of recognizing Crimea as part of Russia.
Previously, Putin visited the Night Wolves bike show in Crimea. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed protest in connection with the visit of the Russian leader to the Crimea.
Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
