The Ministry of Health named the regions of Russia with the largest number of obese people

This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statistical collection of the Ministry of Health.

"Obesity per 100 thousand of the corresponding population (the diagnosis established for the first time in life): Kurgan region - 935.1 ...," the ministry said.

Next come the Altai Territory (867.8 cases of obesity per 100 thousand people) and the Ulyanovsk Region (849.7).

At the same time, the smallest number of cases of obesity is recorded in Yakutia, as well as in the Primorsky Territory and the Belgorod Region.

In April, the deputy head of Rospotrebnadzor, Irina Bragina, said that the number of Russians with overweight has doubled since 2011.
