"We do not approve of the decree of the US president on blocking the assets of the Venezuelan government, providing for comprehensive sanctions against it," the representative said in a statement.

It is also noted that the Trump decree was signed during negotiations between the Venezuelan government and the opposition.

“We are concerned that this decree will exacerbate the economic difficulties facing the Venezuelan people,” Aksoy added.
