The lifting of vigilance orange is announced for 3:00 am Saturday, according to Météo France.

Twenty-six departments in eastern and central France, ranging from the Haute-Garonne to the Ardennes, were placed in orange alert on Friday because of a risk of "violent" storms, said Météo France in its 10-hour bulletin.

To the nine departments of the East and Occitania already placed on alert at 6 am (Aube, Côte-d'Or, Haute-Marne, Meuse, Marne, Yonne, Aveyron, Tarn and Haute-Garonne), Météo-France has added at 10 am l'Ain, Ardennes, Cantal, Doubs, Jura, Loire, Haute-Loire, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle, Puy-de-Dôme, Bas-Rhin, the Haut-Rhin, the Rhone, the Haute-Saone, the Saone-et-Loire, the Vosges and the Territoire-de-Belfort.

A rain-stormy disturbance advances over northwestern France. At the front, the air mass is very hot and the maximum temperatures will be very high Friday in the afternoon from South-West to the Center-East and North-East, says Météo-France. In the afternoon, thunderstorms must develop from Burgundy to Champagne, the Ardennes and Lorraine. On the east of Midi-Pyrenees, this stormy evolution will be later, rather late afternoon. It will then move towards the Center-East and Alsace.

These thunderstorms will be accompanied locally by heavy hail, heavy rainfall and violent wind gusts of up to 100 km / h.
