On Thursday evening the courses were prepared and during Friday the races start with sprint distances. On Saturday, the Olympic triathlon is run with 1500 meters of swimming, 40 kilometers of bike and finally ten kilometers of running. Large parts of the competition take place in the center of Umeå.
- Having the competition in the center above all makes it a much more fun competition for the participants, but we also reach the audience in a completely different way, says Patrik Maritzon, organizer and chairman of Stöckes Triathlon Association.
