The three young men have been detained since the beginning of August in connection with the two shootings in Karlstad at Kronoparken and Herrhagen.

They have been reasonably suspect, but Prosecutor Niclas Wargren believes the evidence is now sufficient to raise the suspicion for probable cause.

- But we still have to keep the investigation broad and objective.

A new detention hearing will be held shortly.

Four suspects

Four people have been detained, but a 19-year-old man has been released.

"I am not planning any action against him at this time," says Niclas Wargren.

The 21-year-old is suspected by the prosecutor of probable cause for attempted murder in the shooting at both Kronoparken and Herrhagen.

As for the 17-year-old, the prosecutor wants to see him arrested on suspicion of probable cause or reasonable suspicion of attempted murder in relation to the Kronopark shooting.

Everyone involved, including a 19-year-old, is suspected of attempted manslaughter in connection with an incident that occurred at the apartment where the shooting at Herrhagen took place.

All refuse a crime.

What can you say about the subject of the shootings?

- I don't think it is appropriate to talk about it with regard to the investigation, says Niclas Wargren.

The prosecutor does not want to comment on what weapons have been used.

- I can say that some finds on the site in the form of bullets and sleeves should make it possible to investigate it.
